About Reine

Reine is a small fishing village world known for the spectacular natural scenery.
It is situated at the island Moskenesoeya
and part of the municipality of Moskenes with 1023 residents.
The village is located on the E10, 125 km west of Svolvaer and 9 km east of Moskenes,
the port of arrival for the ferry from Bodoe.

Reine got a grocery store, gas station, gallery of Eva and Karl Erik Harr,
restaurants, cafe, bistro and outdoor activities you can attend.
There is a fjord cruise from Reine to the nearby fjords that takes you to Bunes beach
or hike summits with breathtaking views
from mountains like Helvetestinden (602m) or Hermannsdalstinden (1029m).
The Norwegian government created in 2019 a new national park in Lofoten,
an area of more than 100 km from the farthest tip of Lofoten,
through Moskenes and Flakstad.
Lofotodden National Park has landscapes and natural habitats
that are not found in other Norwegian protected areas.
The national park will ensure that future generations will enjoy
the disinctive and unique landscape with narrow, tall peaks,
surrounded by open sea areas and deep fjords.
If there is one hike you should do in Lofoten, hiking Reinebringen is an excellent choice.
The steep scramble leads to one of the best viewpoints on all the Islands with epic panorama.
Make sure to be careful and take your time to enjoy the view from the top.
